The Kidney Foundation of Canada

Overview

Many patients living with kidney disease, as well as their families and support networks, experience financial hardship that has a significant impact on their ability to get the care they need. The Kidney Foundation of Canada and the Canadian Association of Nephrology Social Workers are working together to understand how the financial burden of kidney disease affects your care and ultimately your health and well-being, whether you’re a patient, a caregiver, or a member of the healthcare team working with people affected by kidney disease.

The goal of this survey is to collect information about the financial impact of kidney disease on patients, caregivers, and kidney health professionals. The survey will help inform the Kidney Foundation of Canada’s advocacy to governments at all levels to better support those who are affected by kidney disease.

Participation involves completing a brief survey on the financial impact of kidney disease.  The survey takes approximately 10 minutes to complete. It begins with general demographic questions, such as your age, gender, and education level, followed by questions about the financial challenges faced by individuals with kidney disease. Anonymous quotes from your written responses may be included in research papers and publications.
