Optimizing Care for Kidney Transplant Recipients Who Experience Graft Loss: A Forgotten Cohort
Overview
Young adult kidney transplant recipients are known to have a higher risk of losing their transplant as they transition into adult care. Researchers at McGill University are interested in better understanding the experiences of young adults who received their transplant before the age of 25. The goal is to identify important factors and ways to improve the care of young kidney transplant recipients.
Participation in this study includes a 60-minute interview over Zoom with a social work researcher at the McGill University Health Centre. Young adults who received a kidney transplant under 25 and are now between 18-40 years old are eligible to participate. Compensation will be provided.
