KidneyLink is a national platform where you can learn about and connect to kidney research taking place across Canada.
We bring together patients and researchers to collaborate on innovative new projects that will improve kidney health.
Many patients want to get involved but don’t know where to start. Many researchers want to work with patients but don’t know how to find them.
KidneyLink is the bridge that makes these connections possible.
“All patient partners, regardless of their experience, have something to offer to the research process.”

Who is involved?
KidneyLink is your trusted source of information about kidney health research in Canada. We are a partnership of the Kidney Foundation of Canada and the Can-SOLVE CKD Network, organizations that are deeply committed to kidney health.
The Kidney Foundation of Canada’s vision is excellent kidney health, optimal quality of life for those affected by kidney disease, and a cure. For nearly 60 years, this vision has guided us to be a collaborative, inventive and focused leader in the development of programs, services, research opportunities and awareness campaigns that have had a positive impact on the millions of Canadians living with, or at risk of developing kidney disease.
The Foundation’s national research program has grown to become one of the most important sources of funding for scientists conducting kidney-related research. We are also committed to providing education, information and support about kidneys and kidney disease.
The Can-SOLVE CKD Network is Canada’s largest-ever kidney research initiative. We are a national partnership of patients, researchers, health care providers, and policy-makers working to transform treatment and care for Canadians affected by chronic kidney disease.
Our network coordinates and conducts innovative research using a patient-oriented approach. Shaped by patients’ experiences and priorities, our research programs are generating new knowledge that will deliver better kidney health to patients. We also create resources and tools that enhance Canada’s ability to lead innovative kidney health research.
